Suggested Launch Site - There are no facilities at the car park. Launch above the lock for a trip north.

General Description - Paddle north to Stocker's Lock then carry on to Rickmansworth. At Batchworth Locks at Rickmansworth cross the bridge and launch in the main canal. Continue past many houseboats to Lot Mead Lock then Common Moor Lock. On the outskirts of Watford, after a high railway bridge, the canal enters Cassiobury Park with toilets and refreshments available. There are 3 locks in or near the park and a variety of different types of bridge. After the Cassiobury Top Lock there is Grove Mill and bridge where the canal turns sharply. Next are Capel's Lock, then close together Hunton Bridge locks and Hunton Bridge. There is a canal-side pub here (the Kings Head)

If you turn back here the total journey is about 13.5 miles and involves portaging 20 locks.
