Description - This is a relatively short trip of 5 or 6 miles to the outskirts of West Timperley. If you need liquid refreshment the Bay Malton Hotel is just a few yards north of the canal on Seamons Road.
The Bridgewater Canal was built in 1761 and is the first Canal in the UK not to follow the course of an existing waterway.
